Permit Mail

Permit Mail

Permit Mail is a method of postage with a flexible payment plan. You simply print your Permit Mail impression in the top right corner of your mail items and your mail is ready for postage.

    • Permit Mail is easy to set up and manage
You submit an application form to BotswanaPost and you will be issued with a Permit Mail Number and printing specifications to use on your envelopes. You will be charged only on what you submit at BotswanaPost for delivery to your customers.

    • Permit Mail saves time and increases efficiency
Simply pre-print your Permit Mail Impression and Number on your envelopes and save your company the cost of postage stamps.

    • Permit Mail saves you money
Reduces labour costs in preparing your mail. If you regularly mail 500 items or more, you may get additional discounts on normal postage if you presort your mail by destination (post boxes and post offices) and by size of envelope.

    • Permit Mail Conditions
      • All Permit Mail users must apply for and receive a Permit Mail number from BotswanaPost before they can use the service. This number is kept until cancelled by the applicant or BotswanaPost
      • Permit mail is only accepted at pre-approved lodgment points namely Southern Sort Center at Poso House, Gaborone, Pota Sort Centre in Palapye and Tatitown Sort Centre in Francistown.
      • Permit Mail will not be date stamped.
      • Present your mail items at Sort Centers in trays, boxes or bundles with address facing outwards and the permit Mail impression in the top right hand corner.
      • Payment terms are agreed prior to mailing or at the time of mailing.
