Generally
regarded as an exceptionally dry country (the wet
northwest averages 600 mm a year and the dry southwest
around 200 mm). Botswana relies heavily on its rivers
for its supply of precious water. Major rivers include
the chobe, Okavango, Boteti, and the Shashi. The
Limpopo River runs along the southeast border.
