Contemporary Art [Click here to order any of the stamps below]

Originating in 1990 as one of several income generating projects of the Kuru Development Trust, a self help project of the San of the Kalahari, the artists of the Kuru Art Project have produced contemporary art which is remarkable in character. Although contemporary because of the modern techniques used, the unbelievably bright colours and the freedom of expression, the art has a strong link with the rock art.
