For Batswana Christmas is a time of celebration. We are not all Christians, but we all recognise the God who gave us life and beauty, and all thank Him for the gifts of nature. It is to honour God's gifts that each year we portray nature on our Christmas stamps. Usually the stamps depict plants, but this time, the Christmas commemorative features members of a single family; doves & Pigeons, traditional symbols of peace and love. This issue was for 20th December 2005.
