Questions and answers

1) If printed matter is now classified as a letter, does this mean companies
have to envelope all their printed papers?

Certainly not, there are items like Newspapers that normally mail printed
matter in rolls, such items will be charged as either packets or parcels
depending on the weight.

2) Is Parcel rates also going to change?
Yes. We simplified the tariff. All the locations are classified into five zones (EMS has six zones).

3) Is old stamps going to be acceptable?
Yes, the existing stamps can be used to make up the correct postage.

4) What about an envelope size different from the three recommended ones?
Envelopes are charged to the nearest size shown in the template. For
example, if a customer brings an envelope smaller than the standard letter
size, it should be charged at the standard letter rate.

5) Do special charges still apply?
Yes. Special charges will continue to apply.

6) Is Literature for the blind still free?
Yes. Literature for the blind will continue to be free.

7) Is there any Airmail service in Botswana?
No. We already achieve next day delivery with our trucks! Customers have a
choice of using a courier for a faster service.
